Pinouts, link positions, indicator meanings and electrical specifications of the AdiaPure controller board, revision v0.3.
This page has the pinouts, the link positions, the indicator meanings and the electrical specifications of the AdiaPure controller board, revision v0.3.
How the board is labelled
The reference designator is printed on the board next to each part, for example J12
or K1. Those are the identifiers used throughout this documentation.
The functional name — what the terminal is for, such as MEn or Klep1 — is not
printed. It exists only in the schematic, and this documentation gives it in brackets,
for example J12 (MEn).
So you can find the terminal you want by its designator, and this page tells you what it is for. The wiring table in Installation and wiring is the full terminal map.
A few small parts are not marked on the board at all, so that the board stays uncluttered. They are all passives and none of them is a terminal you connect a field cable to.

|---|---|---|
J2 (Mains) | 1–2 | Neutral |
| 3–4 | Line | |

Mains valve outputs
Each of these three-pole terminals carries: pin 1–2 = the switched leg, pin 3–4 = line, pin 5–6 = earth. Five of the seven are fitted on this revision.
| Terminal | Schematic name | Driven by the firmware as |
|---|---|---|
J28 | Klep1 | Atomisation valve 1 |
J25 | Klep2 | Atomisation valve 2 |
J26 | Klep3 | Atomisation valve 3 |
J27 | Klep4 | Atomisation valve 4 |
J31 | Klep5 | Flush drain valve |
Mains motor output
| Terminal | Pin | Function |
|---|---|---|
J33 (Motor) | 1–2 | Neutral |

24 V relay outputs (dry contacts)
| Terminal | Schematic name | Output |
|---|---|---|
J21 | Status | Status relay |
J22 | Alarm | Alarm relay |
J23 | AUX1 | Auxiliary 1 relay |
J24 | AUX2 | Auxiliary 2 relay |
Each is a two-terminal block carrying one potential-free contact. The board applies no
voltage to these terminals. The contact's idle position is set by the wiring; the
Normally Open / Normally Closed setting decides whether the relay is energised when
the output is active or when it is idle.
24 V digital inputs
| Terminal | Schematic name | Pin 1 | Pin 2 | Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|
J12 | MEn | +24 V | Signal | J13 (JP3) |
J16 | HL_ONOFF | +24 V | Signal | J17 (JP1) |
J14 | Airflow | +24 V | Signal | J15 (JP2) |
J18 | Flush | +24 V | Signal | none |
J19 | TempMotor | +24 V | Signal | J20 (JP1) |
All five inputs are galvanically isolated from the controller's own electronics by an optocoupler, and all five read as active when 24 V is present on the signal pin.
Water leak input
| Terminal | Schematic name | Pin 1 | Pin 2 | Pin 3 | Pin 4 | Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
J7 | Waterlek | +24 V | 0 V | +24 V | Signal | J8 (JP2) |
Analogue inputs
| Terminal | Schematic name | Pin 1 | Pin 2 | Pin 3 |

J11 | Demand_IN | +24 V (isolated) | Signal | 0 V (isolated) |
J34 | VD | +5 V (isolated) | 0 V (isolated) | Signal |
J35 | HD | +5 V (isolated) | 0 V (isolated) | Signal |
J9 | HR Transmitter | +24 V (isolated) | 4–20 mA signal | — |
Analogue output
| Terminal | Pins | Function |
|---|---|---|
J36 | 1–2 | 4–20 mA output, a two-wire loop. The transmitter takes its supply from the loop, so an external supply (typically 24 V) must be fitted across the two pins |
Sensors and probes
| Terminal | Schematic name | Pin 1 | Pin 2 | Pin 3 | Pin 4 | Pin 5 |

J10 | Pulse_WC | +5 V | Pulse signal | 0 V | — | — |
J37 | unnamed | Yx-1 | Electrode | Temp-1 | Electrode | 0 V (isolated) |
Communication ports
| Terminal | Schematic name | Pins | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
J4 | RJHSEN384 | 8P8C | Ethernet, with magnetics and two LEDs |
J6 | unnamed | 1: 0 V · 2: Mod- · 3: Mod+ | Fieldbus RS-485 |
J5 | 8P8C | 1–3: +5 V · 4: Scr- · 5: Scr+ · 6–8: 0 V | Screen link (RS-485) |
J32 | GT-USB-7055BB | USB-C | Service port: Modbus, and the firmware update connection. Device (USB 2.0) only - the controller cannot act as a USB host |
Links on the board
The board has five two-pin links. Each one connects the signal pin of a 24 V input to the board's 24 V rail, which forces that input permanently active.
| Link | Schematic name | Input it holds high |
|---|---|---|
J13 | JP3 | J12 (MEn) |
J17 | JP1 | J16 (HL_ONOFF) |
J15 | JP2 | J14 (Airflow) |
J20 | JP1 | J19 (TempMotor) |
J8 | JP2 | J7 (Waterlek) |
Each link sits next to the input it holds high, so you can tell them apart by position.
They are a commissioning aid: fit a link to hold an input active without cutting the field cable and placing a bridge across the input. Remove the link again for normal operation, so that the input follows the field wiring.
The Flush input (J18) has no link.
Indicators
Every indicator on the board is a yellow 0805 SMD LED (KT-0805Y), except the two LEDs
built into the Ethernet connector.
The names in the second column come from the schematic. On the board, an LED is marked with its reference designator.
| LED | Schematic name | Lit when |
|---|---|---|
D3 | 5V | The 5 V rail is present |
D38 | 5V | The isolated 5 V rail is present |
D19 | Alarm | The alarm output is active |
D20 | Status | The status output is active |
D21 | AUX1 | Auxiliary output 1 is active |
D22 | AUX2 | Auxiliary output 2 is active |
D30 | Klep1 | The Klep1 output is driven |
D31 | Klep2 | The Klep2 output is driven |
D32 | Klep3 | The Klep3 output is driven |
D33 | Klep4 | The Klep4 output is driven |
D34 | Klep5 | The Klep5 (flush drain) output is driven |
D45 | Motor | The motor output is driven |
The Klep* and Motor LEDs mirror the relay drive, so they light when the corresponding
output is switched on — even when no valve or motor is actually connected.
Ethernet connector LEDs
| LED | Colour | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | LED_Y | Lit when the Ethernet link is up; blinks when there is traffic |
| Green | LED_G | Lit when the link runs at 100 Mbit/s; off at 10 Mbit/s |
