This page is a task list: every everyday job you might need to do, with the steps and what you should see afterwards.

Read the live values

On the screen

  1. Look at the home screen.
  2. The top panel shows the operating mode and the DEMAND and OUTPUT bars.
  3. The SENSOR READINGS panel shows Inlet Pres., Pump Pres. and Conductivity.
  4. The SYSTEM INFO panel shows Pump, K1–K4, Alarm and Status.

Tap the system-information button at the bottom right to open the SYSTEM INFORMATION screen. It has these sections:

In the web interface

  1. Open http://<controller-ip> in a browser.
  2. The Dashboard tab shows the same information in cards: Demand & Humidity, Process & Hydraulics, Environment & Water, Valves, Outputs, Inputs, Maintenance, System and Alarm log.

The System card shows the system time, the clock setting, the number of tubes and the reboot count. The serial number, the model and the firmware version are in the page footer.

Change the operating mode

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button (gear icon) at the bottom right.
  2. Tap System Settings.
  3. Under OPERATING MODE, tap the mode field.
  4. The popup Select Operating Mode opens. Tap Standby, Automatic or Test.
  5. Close the popup.

The mode line on the home screen updates to Standby, Automatic or Test immediately.

In the web interface

  1. On the Dashboard, in the Operation Mode panel, press STANDBY, AUTOMATIC or TEST.
  2. The pressed button is highlighted.

Change the demand source

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap System Inputs.
  3. Under System demand input, tap DEMAND INPUT.
  4. Choose one of 0-10Vdc, 4-20mA, On/Off, Fieldbus demand register, 0-10Vdc RH Transmitter or 4-20mA RH Transmitter.
  5. Save if the screen asks you to.

In the web interface

  1. Open the Configuration tab.
  2. In the Inputs card, set Demand input mode.
  3. Press Save.

If you pick one of the two return-humidity modes, the Inputs card also shows a Return humidity setpoint field. Set the humidity you want in the return air — the controller derives the demand from the difference between that and the measured value. The field is only shown when it applies.

Set the date and time

The controller keeps time in UTC.

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap System Settings.
  3. Under DATE / TIME, tap the date field, pick the date, and confirm with Save.
  4. Tap the time field, pick the time, and confirm with Save.

In the web interface

  1. On the Dashboard, in the System card, fill in Set clock (UTC).
  2. Press Set UTC.

The new time appears in System time straight away.

Run a test

A test run makes the unit humidify at a fixed demand, ignoring the master enable, the hygrostat, the airflow and the alarms. Use it to commission a new installation.

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap System Settings.
  3. Under OPERATING MODE, tap the mode field.
  4. In the Select Operating Mode popup, tap Test.
  5. The home screen shows the banner Test function in progress.

The unit returns to Standby on its own when the test duration is over.

To change the test demand and duration first:

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap System Settings, then TEST RUN CONFIGURATION (reachable from the test screen).
  3. Set TEST RUN DEMAND and TEST RUN DURATION.
  4. Press Start Test. Press Stop Test to end it early.

Force a flush

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap System Settings.
  3. Under OPERATING MODE, tap the mode field.
  4. In the Select Operating Mode popup, tap Flush Routine.
  5. A confirmation appears: This will interrupt the current process of the humidifier but it will resume current function when done.
  6. Tap Yes.

The home screen shows Flushing... and the flush drain valve opens. The flush runs once and then stops; the next scheduled flush is counted from the interval setting again.

Over the fieldbus

Write 1 to the FLUSH_FORCE_ROUTINE_ONCE register. The controller consumes the request and resets the register to 0 by itself.

Acknowledge an alarm

On the screen

  1. Tap the alarms button (warning triangle) at the bottom right.
  2. The ALARMS screen lists the active alarms.
  3. Tap Reset next to the alarm you want to acknowledge.

The alarm disappears from the list. If the condition that caused it is still present, the alarm comes back.

In the web interface

  1. On the Dashboard, the Active Alarms card lists the alarms that can be reset.
  2. Press Reset next to the alarm.

Only the sticky alarms offer a reset button: Water Temperature High, Conductivity After Flush, Water Pressure Low, Water Pressure High, Water Leak Detected and No Motor Drive. The transient alarms clear by themselves.

The screen also offers Reset on the Maintenance Required card. That button records that maintenance has been done, rather than clearing the alarm bit.

Over the fieldbus

Write a bit mask to the ALARM_RESET register, one bit per alarm. The controller consumes the mask and clears the register.

Read the alarm history

On the screen

  1. Tap the alarms button at the bottom right.
  2. Open ALARM HISTORY.

The screen shows up to 50 entries, newest first. If the history cannot be read it shows Failed to read alarm history; if there is none it shows No alarm history available.

In the web interface

The Alarm log card on the Dashboard shows the same entries with their timestamps.

Change the network settings

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap Network.
  3. Under Network Configuration, set Enable DHCP, or fill in IP ADDRESS, SUBNET MASK and GATEWAY.
  4. Save.

In the web interface

  1. Open the Configuration tab.
  2. In the Ethernet card, set DHCP, Static IP, Subnet prefix and Gateway.
  3. Press Save.

The new address takes effect without a restart. Read the current address back from the screen (SYSTEM INFORMATION → NETWORK) or from the System card.

Note

The web interface's Subnet prefix field takes a prefix length such as 24 and shows the matching mask next to it. The screen's SUBNET MASK field takes a dotted mask such as 255.255.255.0. Both end up as the same prefix length in the controller.

Change the communication settings

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Modbus gives you the baud rate, the device ID and the TCP port.
  3. BACnet gives you the IP port, the device ID, the RTU baud rate and the RTU MAC address.
  4. Each field opens a popup with the allowed range and a CLR button to reset it.

In the web interface

The Fieldbus card on the Configuration tab holds RS485 protocol, RS485 baud rate, BACnet/IP port, BACnet MS/TP MAC, BACnet device ID, Modbus ID and Modbus port.

Change the water-management settings

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap Watermanagement.
  3. Set WATER TEMP LIMIT (max), FLUSH INTERVAL and CONDUCTIVITY LIMIT (max).

In the web interface

The Options card on the Configuration tab holds Water temperature threshold, Conductivity threshold, Flush interval and Flush duration.

Change the relay and auxiliary outputs

On the screen

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap System Outputs.
  3. Set STATUS OUT MODE, ALARM OUT MODE, ANALOG OUT SELECT, AUX 1 MODE and AUX 2 MODE.
  4. AUX 1 ALARM MASK and AUX 2 ALARM MASK choose which alarms switch the auxiliary outputs.

In the web interface

  • The Relay & Alarm Outputs card sets Status output mode, Alarm output mode, Aux 1 contact mode and Aux 2 contact mode.
  • The Aux Alarm Masks card sets the two alarm masks. Each alarm has a checkbox.

Change the screen's own settings

These live in the screen, not in the controller.

  1. Tap the settings button.
  2. Tap Display Settings.
  3. BRIGHTNESS sets the backlight level from 10 % to 100 %.
  4. TIMEOUT sets how long the screen stays on when nobody touches it: Never, 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min or 1 hour.
  5. LANGUAGE selects English, Nederlands, Français, Deutsch or Español.

Changing the language restarts the screen.
