The serial number and model are not written yet
Severity: open
The serial number and the model start as sixteen zero bytes, and nothing in the firmware
or in the production flow writes them yet. The web interface therefore shows the serial number as a
row of zeros, and the USB service connection reports its serial number string as
invalid.
Why it matters: you cannot tell two units apart from the screen, the web interface or the USB descriptor, and a support request cannot be matched to a unit.
To confirm: how the serial number and the model are written in the production flow,
and whether they are burned in at provisioning. The decision is still open. The engineer

Until it is settled, identify a unit by where it is installed and by the address it answers on, and record the MAC address from the Ethernet connector.
